Story / Narration
Beside a Tennessee highway is the resting place of Nanyehi, better known as Nancy Ward—one of the most influential Cherokee women of the eighteenth century. Her story is bigger than this small memorial: it is about leadership, diplomacy, and a Cherokee homeland under enormous pressure.
